Safety & Reporting Policy

Last Updated: September 7, 2026

This Safety & Reporting Policy (“Policy”) explains how Cry-Fi (“Cry-Fi”, “Platform”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) handles safety concerns, policy violations, misconduct reports, and related incidents involving the Platform.

Cry-Fi is committed to maintaining a respectful and reasonably safe environment for emotional support conversations. However, Cry-Fi cannot guarantee that all misconduct, harmful behavior, fraud, or safety incidents will be prevented, detected, or resolved.

1. Purpose

This Policy explains how Support Seekers, Listeners, and other Platform users can report safety concerns, misconduct, abuse, fraud, and other violations and describes the types of platform-level measures Cry-Fi may take.

Cry-Fi operates as a technology marketplace connecting Support Seekers with independent Listeners. Cry-Fi does not supervise every interaction, continuously monitor sessions, or guarantee the safety or conduct of every participant.

2. Reportable Incidents

Users and Listeners may report conduct or activity that may violate Cry-Fi policies or create a safety, legal, or platform-integrity concern, including:

  • Harassment

  • Abuse

  • Sexual misconduct

  • Sexual harassment

  • Sexual assault

  • Threats

  • Hate speech or discriminatory abuse

  • Fraud

  • Misrepresentation

  • Blackmail

  • Extortion

  • Stalking

  • Unsafe offline behavior

  • Coercion or exploitation

  • Serious privacy violations

  • Unauthorized or deceptive use of the Platform

  • Other conduct that may violate Cry-Fi policies or create a legitimate safety concern

Reports should be submitted honestly and in good faith.

3. How to Report

Safety concerns and policy violations may be reported through the appropriate Cry-Fi contact channel.

Support:

support@cry-fi.com

Safety or complaint matters:

safety@cry-fi.com

Cry-Fi may introduce additional reporting channels or reporting tools where appropriate.

Where possible, users should report serious concerns promptly and provide enough information for Cry-Fi to identify the relevant account, booking, session, or incident.

4. Evidence & Information

To assist with a review, Cry-Fi may request or accept relevant information such as:

  • Screenshots

  • Chat or platform messages

  • Booking details

  • Dates and timestamps

  • Payment or transaction references

  • Session-related information

  • Photographs or documents where relevant

  • Other information reasonably related to the reported incident

Users should provide accurate information and should avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive personal information.

Knowingly submitting fabricated, manipulated, or materially misleading evidence is prohibited.

Users should not secretly record, capture, publish, or distribute private communications or sessions where doing so would violate applicable law, privacy rights, consent requirements, or Cry-Fi policies.

5. Immediate Safety Risks

Cry-Fi is not an emergency-response service and is not designed to provide emergency intervention.

If you are experiencing immediate physical danger, violence, sexual assault, a medical emergency, or another urgent real-world threat, contact the appropriate local emergency services, law enforcement, or qualified emergency assistance available in your location.

Do not rely on Cry-Fi as a substitute for emergency assistance.

6. Platform Review Process

When a report is received, Cry-Fi may, where appropriate:

  • Review submitted information and evidence

  • Review relevant booking and payment information

  • Review available account information

  • Review relevant platform communications

  • Review previous complaints or enforcement history

  • Review available technical or session-related records

  • Request additional information or clarification

  • Contact relevant participants where appropriate

  • Take appropriate platform-level action

The scope and method of a review may depend on the nature, seriousness, and available evidence relating to the report.

Cry-Fi may determine that no further platform action is appropriate where the available information does not establish a policy violation or does not provide a sufficient basis for further action.

A report or allegation alone does not establish that misconduct occurred.

7. Interim Safety Measures

While a report is being reviewed, Cry-Fi may take temporary measures where reasonably necessary to protect users, preserve platform integrity, or prevent further harm.

Depending on the circumstances, these measures may include:

  • Temporarily restricting or suspending an account

  • Restricting Platform access

  • Pausing or preventing bookings

  • Restricting communications or specific Platform features

  • Holding or delaying payouts where permitted

  • Removing or restricting content

  • Ending or preventing access to an affected session

Interim measures are precautionary and do not necessarily mean that an allegation has been conclusively established.

8. Serious Misconduct

Reports involving serious misconduct may receive priority review, including allegations involving:

  • Sexual assault

  • Physical violence

  • Criminal threats

  • Child safety concerns

  • Severe harassment or abuse

  • Serious fraud

  • Exploitation

  • Blackmail or extortion

  • Conduct presenting a significant safety risk

Depending on the circumstances, Cry-Fi may:

  • Restrict or suspend involved accounts

  • Prevent affected accounts from making or receiving bookings

  • Preserve relevant Platform information

  • Cancel affected bookings

  • Hold relevant payouts where permitted

  • Restrict session or communication access

  • Cooperate with lawful authorities where legally required or permitted

Cry-Fi does not conduct criminal investigations, determine criminal liability, or replace law enforcement, courts, emergency services, or other competent authorities.

9. False Reports & Fabricated Evidence

Knowingly submitting:

  • False allegations

  • Fabricated complaints

  • Manipulated screenshots

  • False documents

  • Deliberately misleading evidence

  • Materially false information intended to cause enforcement against another person

is prohibited.

Depending on the circumstances, such conduct may result in:

  • Account warnings or restrictions

  • Suspension

  • Permanent account termination

  • Loss or restriction of applicable refund or Platform privileges

  • Other appropriate enforcement action

  • Cooperation with lawful authorities where required or permitted

A report that is made in good faith but cannot be substantiated is not automatically considered a false report.

10. Confidentiality & Information Disclosure

Cry-Fi will make reasonable efforts to handle safety reports responsibly and limit access to information to appropriate purposes.

However, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed in every circumstance.

Information may be accessed, retained, or disclosed where reasonably necessary for:

  • Safety and policy reviews

  • Platform enforcement

  • Fraud and abuse prevention

  • Dispute resolution

  • Security purposes

  • Legal compliance

  • Court orders

  • Law enforcement or regulatory requests

  • Protection of users, Cry-Fi, or others from serious harm

Information may also be shared with relevant service providers, contractors, professional advisers, payment providers, hosting providers, communication providers, or other third parties where reasonably necessary to operate the Platform, protect users, or handle an incident, subject to applicable privacy requirements.

Handling of personal information is further governed by Cry-Fi’s Privacy Policy and Data Retention & Deletion Policy.

11. No Guaranteed Outcome

Submitting a report does not guarantee:

  • Account suspension

  • Account termination

  • Session cancellation

  • A refund

  • Compensation

  • Payment reversal

  • A particular enforcement action

  • A particular investigation outcome

Cry-Fi will assess reports based on the information reasonably available to it, the circumstances of the matter, and applicable Platform policies.

Where appropriate, Cry-Fi may also determine that no further action is necessary.

12. Participant Responsibility

Cry-Fi provides platform-level safety mechanisms and reporting processes but cannot control every interaction between participants.

Users and Listeners remain responsible for:

  • Their own conduct

  • Their decisions

  • Their communications

  • Their interactions with others

  • Their use of Platform features

  • Taking reasonable precautions for their own safety

This is particularly important for offline sessions, which Cry-Fi does not physically supervise or control.

Participants should use their own judgment when deciding whether to continue, end, or report an interaction.

13. Record Preservation

Cry-Fi may preserve relevant records where reasonably necessary for:

  • Serious misconduct reviews

  • Safety incidents

  • Fraud or abuse investigations

  • Dispute resolution

  • Policy enforcement

  • Legal claims or proceedings

  • Security incidents

  • Lawful requests from authorities

Retention will be handled in accordance with Cry-Fi’s Privacy Policy and Data Retention & Deletion Policy, subject to applicable law.

Preservation of information does not necessarily mean that the information will be retained indefinitely.

14. Retaliation Prohibited

Retaliation against a person for making a good-faith safety or misconduct report is prohibited.

Retaliation may include:

  • Threats

  • Harassment

  • Intimidation

  • Blackmail

  • Repeated unwanted contact

  • Attempts to punish, threaten, or silence a reporting person

  • Attempts to interfere with a legitimate Platform review

Violations may result in immediate platform-level enforcement, including restrictions or suspension.

15. Cooperation With Authorities

Where required or legally permitted, Cry-Fi may cooperate with:

  • Law enforcement

  • Courts

  • Government authorities

  • Regulatory bodies

  • Other competent authorities

Cry-Fi may provide relevant information or preserve records in accordance with applicable law.

Cry-Fi does not control how an external authority conducts its own investigation or proceedings.

16. Policy Enforcement

Violations of this Policy or other Cry-Fi policies may result in platform-level action, including:

  • Warnings

  • Session termination

  • Content removal or restriction

  • Booking cancellation

  • Temporary suspension

  • Platform access restrictions

  • Payment or payout holds where permitted

  • Permanent account termination

  • Other appropriate restrictions

The action taken may depend on the seriousness, frequency, evidence, risk, and circumstances of the violation.

Cry-Fi may take immediate protective action where reasonably necessary to address an apparent safety risk, subject to applicable law.

17. Relationship With Other Policies

This Policy should be read together with Cry-Fi’s other applicable policies, including:

  • Terms & Conditions

  • Privacy Policy

  • Data Retention & Deletion Policy

  • Code of Conduct

  • Community Guidelines

  • Content Moderation Policy

  • Booking Terms

  • Refund & Cancellation Policy

  • Session Mode & Safety Policy

  • Session Scope & Limitations Policy

  • Listener Agreement

  • Listener Vetting & Verification Policy

  • Not-a-Therapy & No Medical Advice Disclaimer

Updated versions become effective upon publication unless otherwise stated.
