Session Scope & Limitations Policy

This Session Scope & Limitations Policy (“Policy”) defines the permitted scope, boundaries, and limitations of sessions conducted through Cry-Fi (“Cry-Fi”, “Platform”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
This Policy is intended to help participants understand what Cry-Fi sessions are designed to provide and what activities or services fall outside their intended scope.
1. Purpose of Cry-Fi Sessions
Cry-Fi sessions are designed to facilitate:
General emotional support
Human conversation
Non-professional listening
Personal expression
Emotional sharing
General conversation about personal experiences
Respectful human connection
Cry-Fi sessions are intended to provide a space where a person can talk, express themselves, be heard, and engage in supportive human conversation.
Cry-Fi sessions are not a substitute for professional healthcare, therapy, regulated professional services, or emergency assistance.
2. What Cry-Fi Sessions Are Not
Cry-Fi sessions are not represented or provided by Cry-Fi as:
Therapy
Psychological treatment
Psychiatry
Medical treatment
Mental health diagnosis
Clinical assessment
Crisis intervention
Emergency support
Legal consultation
Financial or investment consultation
Tax advice
Regulated professional advice
Professional coaching
Professional relationship counseling or mediation
A Listener’s participation in a Cry-Fi session does not create a professional healthcare, therapeutic, legal, financial, or other regulated professional relationship with Cry-Fi.
A Listener may independently hold qualifications or professional experience, but a Cry-Fi session should not be represented as a professional service unless expressly authorized and permitted under applicable Cry-Fi policies and law.
3. Permitted Topics
Subject to applicable Cry-Fi policies, participants may discuss general personal matters and experiences, including:
Stress
Loneliness
Relationships
Career concerns
Family concerns
Personal challenges
Daily life difficulties
Emotional experiences
Friendship and interpersonal concerns
General life experiences
Personal thoughts and feelings
Participants may discuss sensitive or difficult subjects provided that the discussion remains within the intended purpose of Cry-Fi and does not violate applicable policies.
Discussions must remain respectful, non-sexual, non-abusive, and lawful.
4. Prohibited Session Scope
The following activities are outside the permitted scope of Cry-Fi sessions.
a. Sexual Content and Services
Cry-Fi is strictly non-sexual.
Sessions must not be used for:
Sexual conversations intended for sexual gratification;
Sexual requests;
Sexual roleplay;
Explicit sexual interactions;
Sexual solicitation;
Sexual advances;
Sexual services;
Escort or sexual-companion arrangements; or
Other sexual or sexually exploitative activity.
Romantic or sexual relationships between participants must not be promoted, solicited, or provided as a Cry-Fi service.
b. Medical or Mental Health Treatment
Listeners must not provide or represent themselves through Cry-Fi as providing:
Medical diagnosis;
Mental health diagnosis;
Clinical assessment;
Medical treatment;
Psychological treatment;
Psychiatric treatment;
Medication recommendations or instructions;
Treatment plans; or
Other healthcare services.
Listeners must not present ordinary emotional-support conversations as healthcare or clinical services.
c. Crisis and Emergency Intervention
Cry-Fi is not equipped or intended to provide emergency or crisis intervention.
This includes situations involving:
Immediate risk of suicide;
Active self-harm emergencies;
Immediate threats of violence;
Medical emergencies;
Acute psychiatric emergencies; or
Other situations requiring urgent real-world intervention.
Participants experiencing an immediate emergency should contact appropriate local emergency services, law enforcement, qualified healthcare professionals, crisis services, or other appropriate emergency assistance available in their location.
Cry-Fi should not be relied upon as a substitute for emergency intervention.
d. Illegal Activities
Sessions must not be used to facilitate, organize, encourage, or assist unlawful activity, including:
Criminal planning;
Fraud;
Blackmail;
Extortion;
Threats;
Identity theft;
Unauthorized access;
Distribution of illegal material; or
Other unlawful conduct.
Discussion of difficult personal circumstances or past experiences involving illegal activity is not automatically prohibited, provided that the discussion does not facilitate or encourage unlawful conduct.
e. Regulated or Professional Advice
Cry-Fi sessions must not be represented as providing professional:
Legal advice;
Financial advice;
Investment advice;
Tax advice;
Medical advice;
Psychiatric advice;
Regulatory advice; or
Other regulated professional services.
Participants should seek appropriately qualified professionals when professional advice is necessary.
5. Listener Boundaries
Listeners must:
Maintain appropriate and respectful boundaries;
Respect Support Seeker boundaries;
Avoid emotional exploitation;
Avoid intentionally creating unhealthy dependency;
Avoid coercive or manipulative behavior;
Avoid misleading claims of professional expertise or qualifications;
Avoid pressuring a Support Seeker to purchase unnecessary additional sessions; and
Remain within the intended scope of Cry-Fi sessions.
Listeners should not encourage a Support Seeker to believe that continued paid sessions with that Listener are necessary for their emotional wellbeing.
Listeners must not use emotional vulnerability to obtain money, personal benefits, sexual access, inappropriate personal information, or other forms of exploitation.
6. Support Seeker Boundaries
Support Seekers must:
Respect Listener boundaries;
Avoid pressuring Listeners into personal, romantic, or sexual relationships;
Not request prohibited services;
Not demand inappropriate personal or off-platform contact;
Not harass, threaten, intimidate, or manipulate Listeners; and
Not attempt to circumvent Cry-Fi policies or payment systems.
Participation in a Cry-Fi session does not create an entitlement to a Listener’s personal relationship, contact information, availability, or continued interaction outside the booked session.
7. Offline Session Limitations
Offline sessions remain subject to all applicable Cry-Fi policies.
Cry-Fi does not:
Supervise offline meetings;
Control meeting locations;
Provide physical security or protection;
Guarantee the safety of a physical environment;
Guarantee participant behavior; or
Guarantee session outcomes.
Offline participation is voluntary.
Participants are responsible for making appropriate personal safety decisions and should consider the recommendations in the Session Mode & Safety Policy.
8. Online Session Limitations
Online sessions are provided through the Platform and/or applicable third-party communication technology.
Participants are responsible for:
Using the designated session access method;
Maintaining appropriate device and account security;
Ensuring their device, browser, microphone, camera, and internet connection are suitable for participation;
Preventing unauthorized persons from accessing the session; and
Following applicable Platform rules.
Online sessions may have designated start and end times and may automatically become unavailable after the scheduled session period.
Cry-Fi does not represent that ordinary live audio or video sessions are automatically recorded, permanently stored, or continuously monitored unless expressly stated otherwise.
Third-party communication or technology providers may have their own privacy, security, and data-retention practices.
9. Session Termination
A participant or Listener may end a session when:
Session boundaries are violated;
Sexual misconduct occurs;
Harassment or abuse occurs;
Threats or intimidation occur;
Safety concerns arise;
Illegal activity is being facilitated or requested;
A participant behaves in a threatening, coercive, or exploitative manner;
The participant becomes uncomfortable continuing; or
Continuing the session is otherwise inappropriate or unsafe.
A Listener may also end a session in accordance with the Gender Preference & Session Compatibility provisions of the Session Mode & Safety Policy.
Cry-Fi may review available information and evidence and may take appropriate platform-level action where a policy violation is identified.
Session termination does not automatically determine refund eligibility. Refunds are handled under the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
10. Emotional Dependency & Exploitation
Cry-Fi is intended to facilitate supportive human conversation without creating unhealthy or exploitative dependency.
Participants must not:
Pressure another participant to remain emotionally dependent on them;
Threaten withdrawal of support to obtain money or compliance;
Manipulate emotional vulnerability for financial or personal gain;
Encourage isolation from appropriate real-world support systems;
Demand unnecessary sensitive personal information; or
Use a participant’s emotional distress to facilitate sexual, financial, or other exploitation.
Listeners should encourage appropriate professional or real-world support where circumstances reasonably indicate that Cry-Fi is not an appropriate substitute.
11. No Guaranteed Outcomes
Cry-Fi does not guarantee:
Emotional improvement;
Resolution of personal problems;
Personal healing;
Relationship improvement;
Advice effectiveness;
Reduced loneliness or distress;
Personal growth; or
Any particular emotional or interpersonal outcome.
Every session is subjective, and individual experiences may vary.
Payment for a session is for the applicable session service and does not constitute payment for a guaranteed emotional result.
12. Participant Responsibility
Participants are responsible for:
Their own decisions;
How they interpret conversations;
Their conduct during sessions;
Following Cry-Fi policies;
Protecting their own privacy and personal information; and
Seeking appropriate professional or emergency assistance when necessary.
Participants should not rely on a Cry-Fi session when professional, medical, legal, financial, or emergency assistance is reasonably required.
13. Limitation of Responsibility
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Cry-Fi is not responsible for losses, harm, or consequences arising solely from:
Misuse of a session;
Independent decisions made by participants;
Reliance on conversations beyond their stated purpose;
Participant misconduct;
Expectations beyond the stated scope of Cry-Fi;
Voluntary offline interactions; or
Conduct occurring outside Cry-Fi’s reasonable control.
Cry-Fi may nevertheless take reasonable platform-level measures within its control where concerns are reported.
Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
14. Policy Enforcement
Violations of this Policy or other Cry-Fi policies may result in platform-level action, including:
Session termination;
Warnings;
Content removal or restriction;
Booking cancellation;
Account restrictions;
Temporary suspension;
Payment or payout holds where permitted;
Permanent account termination; or
Other appropriate platform restrictions.
The action taken may depend on the nature, seriousness, frequency, evidence, and circumstances of the violation.
15. Relationship With Other Policies
This Policy should be read together with Cry-Fi’s other applicable policies, including:

16. Policy Changes
Cry-Fi may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Platform, applicable law, safety practices, session formats, or operational requirements.
Updated versions become effective upon publication unless otherwise stated.
